Review: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Alright folks. Here it is…my first product review on this website and the honor goes to… First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream CAD $15 for 2 oz from Sephora

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream CAD $15 for 2 oz from Sephora

What it promises:

~ thick, rich, emollient product
~ immediate relief and visible improvement for distressed skin
~ deeply hydrates with exceptional penetration
~ immediately absorbed into the skin and can be used all over the body and on the face

What it delivers: This cream truly lives up to its promise! The texture of this cream is thick and rich but it is easy to blend and doesn’t leave my face looking like an oil slick. The first time I used this cream was at night on my face and the following morning, my skin was visibly brighter and less irritated. It’s been two weeks since I started using this cream. The irritation and redness on my cheeks and between my eyebrows have significantly shrunk. I suspect it’s the ‘deeply hydrating properties’ of this cream.

Price point: at $15 for 2 oz, this sits snugly between a drugstore moisturizer and a luxury brand moisturizer. Considering that my previous face moisturizer was $60 per 1.7 oz, I am really glad that this moisturizer costs a quarter of the price!

Thoughts: I suffered from redness, itchiness and irritation on my cheeks and between my eyebrows for the past few months (thanks dry Vancouver winter!) I love that my skin is getting better with use of this product. I went out with some friends last weekend and one of them commented on how bright my skin was looking. Goodbye dull skin! I am really curious about First Aid Beauty’s other products now and have my eye on the Facial Radiance Pads next.
