Who, What, Wear: Militarized Midi

I wore this outfit two Sundays ago and am so excited to share it with all of you. Summer is transitioning into fall and it’s the perfect time to bust out longer hemlines and light jackets.

MILITARY JACKET: Debenhams from some mall in Dubai (can’t remember which one, I bought this 8 years ago)
WHITE T-SHIRT: H&M (other appearances here)
BATIK MIDI SKIRT: designed by me, handmade by a friend (other appearances here)
SHOES: black gladiator sandals from Ronson’s Rack (other appearances here and here)

This is my favorite outfit I’ve showcased by far. I felt really comfortable and very ‘me’ in this ensemble. I mix and matched feminine and masculine elements – “Oh nice to meet you Batik Midi, my name is Military Jacket. Let’s go out sometime.”

I love love love to mix and match different pieces to make a unique outfit. I wore a white shirt under the skirt and jacket to tie the two pieces together. And as always, my trusty gladiator heels came out for another walk in the park.

lookie! my hair is so long from the back

HAIR: I put some Tresemme heat protectant and Argan oil in my hair before heat drying it. This is my natural hair texture.

EYES: eyeshadows from the Balm’s Nude Tude palette, Tarte inner rim eyeliner, Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara
LIPS: YSL lip gloss (received a sample of this from Sephora)
FACE: Hourglass Veil Mineral primer, Benefit Bo-ing concealer in 03
ACCESSORIES: hoop earrings from Front & Company, le nuptial rings on my left hand

I always include an extra silly picture as a reminder that fashion isn’t always glamorous. Here, I am desperately trying to open a tube of lipgloss. Don’t take yourself too seriously, fashion is fun 🙂
