Review: LAVANILA deodorant

Let’s talk about yer pits!

This deodorant has been making its rounds on the interwebs and I decided to try it out since I was so curious. I finally caved and bought it at Sephora two months ago. The Boy was bewildered as to why I get deodorant from friggin’ Sephora. Here’s why!

What LAVANILA deodorant promises (from the Sephora website):

~ fights odor effectively

~ soothes, conditions and nourishes le pits

~ goes on clean, with no sticky wetness

~ delivers long-lasting results

What it delivers:

When you first apply the deodorant, it is definitely not sticky. Instead, it feels pillowy soft! I don’t know how else to describe it. I love that it’s non-sticky and feels moisturizing.

As far as fighting odor, I’ve had to re-apply at least once a day especially on days I workout/do yoga. I like the smell of Vanilla Lavender but to be completely honest, it sometimes gives me a headache when the scent starts to mingle with my natural body smell. Perhaps I shall give the plain Vanilla one a try next time.

It does dry white though so be careful when wearing any dark-colored clothing. I’ve learned to let the deodorant dry for 5 minutes or more but there’s been a few times I’ve had to bust out a dry sponge to get rid of those pesky white deodorant marks.

Price point: at CAD $17 for 1.7oz, this deodorant is way

Overall rating: 4 unicorn-smelling pits out of 5

Thoughts: This product would have gotten a 5 if helped me stay odor-free even after a workout and didn’t stain dark-colored clothing. I also like that this product is all-natural with no cancer-causing aluminum ingredients.

Have you tried this deodorant? Do you have any favorite natural deodorant brands?

Stay true xo
