I collect trash.
…to do an empties post! An empties post is a post where I show you beauty products I’ve used up over the past season. Empties posts are also a good way to gauge my thoughts and feelings on a product since I’ve used every last bit of it up.
1) Exact nail polish remover
Nothing much to say here except that this nail polish does what it’s supposed to. And it stinks to high heaven! Does anyone know of any nail polish removers that don’t stink?!
2) TOMS fluoride-free toothpaste (fennel flavored)
I love this stuff and have already repurchased another tube. I’ve been using this toothpaste for the past two years and haven’t looked back to fluoride-filled/minty toothpastes since.
I’ve raved about this ENOUGH times and even wrote a whole review on it. Repurchased!
I repurchased another bottle of this makeup remover before finding out that the Body Shop is a BDS-listed brand. Oops! I won’t be repurchasing in the future but the product itself works great. – it’s gentle and effective even against waterproof black eyeliner.
This is my HOLY GRAIL face mask. I’ve been using it once every week for the past 4 years. My skin instantly looks plump and radiant when I use this mask. I’ve already repurchased another tub.
6 + 7 ) simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
I really like this stuff but I think wipes are so wasteful! I’m waiting to finish my third packet (it’s waiting in my bathroom drawer) but once that’s done, I’ll be moving on to making my own makeup remover with olive oil and aloe vera juice.
I used this cleanser for two years and then found out that Cetaphil is on the BDS list. Goodbye Cetaphil, hello First Aid Beauty face cleanser!
empty product not featured: Marc Jacobs sample size lip balm
I used up every bit of my sample lip balm from Marc Jacobs and loved it. I won’t be repurchasing it for some time though – it’s just too darn expensive for what it is! I’m going to shop around for a product with similar quality at a lower price.
Did you empty out any products this past season?
