Review: Lush ‘Dreamwash’

Hi all! I’m back with a review of another product…this time, it’s Lush’s Dreamwash. I mentioned this product in my Beauty Routines- Shower post last week.

I suffered a horrible allergic reaction in early August and went in search for a body wash that suited my sensitive skin. I was window shopping one day and decided to step into Lush. The sales associate was kind enough to give me a demonstration of this product. Here is my review of it!

dreamwash

Ingredients as listed on the official website: Calamine Powder , Water (Aqua) , Organic Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis) , Rapeseed Oil , Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera) , Glycerine , Sodium Stearate , Sodium Hydroxide , Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia) , Chamomile Oil (Anthemis nobilis) , Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) , Lavender Oil (Lavandula hybrida) , Sodium Chloride , EDTA , Tetrasodium Etidronate , *Linalool , Perfume

What it promises (from the official Lush website):

~ creamy, whipped up body wash with decadent ingredients

~ soothing ingredients i.e. aloe vera, lavender, rose, tea tree, calamine and chamomile

~ cleanse skin with care

~ wonderful on sensitive skin

~ mild and extraordinarily moisturizing

What it delivers:

I’ve been using this product daily for 6 weeks. For the first week, my skin felt a bit drier than usual after coming out of the shower. I was tempted to stop using the product….but I am so glad I didn’t!

My skin was probably adjusting to the body wash because every time I use it, my skin now feels so smooth and silky after stepping out of the shower. I also like using the product itself – I love that I get to scoop it out and apply it over my body. It reminds me of when I was a kid and would  rub wet, muddy (but clean!) sand on my body every time I went to the beach with my family. My sisters and I would pretend that we were giving ourselves spa treatments and then run out to sea.

I love that the scent is not overpowering and does not linger. This aspect of the product is perfect for my sensitive skin.

Price point:

At CAD$22.95 for 250g, this shower smoothie is definitely pricier than your average drugstore body wash. I would say that you can get up to 8 weeks of use from this tub.

Overall rating: 5/5 stars

Thoughts: I am giving this product 5 stars because it is such an amazing product. I am so glad I will definitely repurchase it in the future. This product has stoked the fire in my heart for other Lush products.

Have you tried any Lush products?

Stay true xo
