Product Purge: October 2014

It’s time for another product purge!

I don’t know what it is with purging products but I find it so cleansing to go through my makeup and beauty stash regularly and get rid of products I never use anymore or that aren’t working for me.

Here are few products below:

usethis

Simple Cleansing Wipes

I know everyone and their mom raves about these wipes but I realize that my skin sometimes gets irritated when I use them. I’m replacing my makeup remover with an all-natural alternative (a.k.a coconut oil).

The Body Shop Eye Makeup Remover

The Body Shop is a BDS brand so this product has to go. It is unfortunate that The Body Shop is on the BDS listย since their products work just fine….oh well! Coconut oil work fine too. ๐Ÿ™‚

NYX blush in Pinched

I got this blush last year when I was on the hunt for a NARS Orgasm dupe. If this is a dupe for NARS Orgasm, I’m really not impressed. Maybe I’m just not a big fan of shimmery blush anymore…

Benefit Boi-ing in 03

This concealer is nearing its expiry date since I’ve owned it for almost a year and half. Time to say bye-bye bacteria!

Do you clean out your beauty stash regularly?

Stay true xo

  1. What a wonderful question! ๐Ÿ™‚ In short, BDS stands for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions – it’s an economic/poltiical strategy to put pressure on Israel to comply with UN laws as it relates to Palestine. You can read more on the Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boycott,_Divestment_and_Sanctions

It’s similar to not putting your money in brands that tests on animals, utilize child labor/sweatshops. I’m a firm believer in the right for a consumer to choose which brands they want to support/boycott and putting your money in causes you believe in. ๐Ÿ™‚
