Halloween Food, Decorations and Movies

This is Halloween! This is Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

Halloween is only 2 days away. Are you ready to be spooked?

Halloween is my favorite celebration of the fall/winter season. Something about Halloween makes me all warm and fuzzy inside – everyone is happy, there is mischief in the air and both adults and children can partake in the festivities. I also love taking any opportunity to dress up!

I tend to keep it pretty low-key and prefer to spend time with The Boy on Halloween. This year, we’ll have little Delima with us too. A black cat on Halloween. Awesome.

We usually stay home, get some food and snacks ready and watch a bunch of Halloween movies. I detest gore and horror so we usually sit through something more light-hearted.

I took the liberty of gathering some of the favorite Halloween posts I’ve seen around the Internets to share them with you:

Food

FOODFor a Halloween-themed meal, check out Martha Stewart’s Devilish Eggs or Spicy Bat Wings Baked Rigaboney might hit the spot.

If you want to go the healthy route for treats this Halloween, check out how to make these treats.

This Halloween themed candy bar from Cupcakes and Cashmere would be rad for a party.

A fun one: What your favorite Halloween candy says about you.

Decorations

DECOR

Check out these beautiful alternatives to pumpkin carving from Lauren Conrad.

If you love Disney, you will love these printables and DIYs.

Movies

Here are the top three movies I will be watching come Halloween:

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The opening line of this post would have fooled you into thinking that I’ve seen this movie…BUT I HAVEN’T! I am so excited to finally watch it on Friday! YAYYY!

Sleepy Hollow

I’ve liked Sleepy Hollow since I was a kid. It was one of the rare scary movies I would sit through. Re-watching this is always a joy.

Edward Scissorhands

This is a movie I saw as a child and was so freaked out I probably blocked it from my memory. I’m (kind of) looking forward to watching it again – maybe I’ll understand what freaked me out as a kid so much.

What will you be doing this Halloween?

stay true xo
