Review: BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask

What it promises (from the Sephora website) :

~ soothing, leave-on lip mask

~ innovative, natural formula

~ smooths, nourishes, and moisturizes lips

What it delivers:

If there’s one thing I can count on, it’s that my lips will get dry, chapped and sometimes even bleed in the winter. Fun.

I’ve been hearing about this lip treatment for a long time but I resisted buying it because of the price tag.

This winter, I finally gave in. I’m really glad I chose to invest in this (yes, this lip treatment is an investment, people)

I use this every night before going to bed. I sometimes use it during the day when my lips feel extra dry or when I’m forgoing lip color for the day and am out and about in the cold. A little bit is all you need and there’s no need for reapplication. It lasts about 6-8 hours on my lips.

The consistency is tacky but not overly sticky. The smell of this lipbalm is pleasant. To me, it smells like vanilla and fruit.

When I wake up, I still feel a slight layer of the product on my lips. My lips are definitely smooth and moisturized – no dry, chapped bits and definitely no cracks when I smile!

The only thing I wish this product would do is to plump up my lips. However, it doesn’t claim to do that so this is not a slight against it…just a wish from an already satisfied customer.

Price point: At CAD$30 for 0.5 oz, this gem is hella pricey. However, a little smidgen is all you need in each use so I’m guessing this will last for up to 12 months.

Rating: A+

Final thoughts: It does what it says it will do. It doesn’t smell bad. It’s not overly sticky. If you suffer from dry, chapped and sometimes bleeding lips from harsh winter weather, I highly recommend you check this out.

stay true xo

  1. Wow this sounds pretty amazing! 🙂 My lips are always chapped and i always pick on them so it ends up bleeding n being even more chapped. #fml but i think for me vaseline works the best! Haha

  2. I got this for my boyfriend about a year ago because his lips are always horrendously chapped. He uses it every night and it makes a huge difference! The price is definitely cringe worthy, but for the winter months, I’d definitely say it’s worth it, plus it lasts forever.
