Summer Makeup Base

I keep it pretty standard when it comes to my base makeup especially in the hot summer months. Here are my 5 base products for a glowy summer face!

Tinted moisturizer

I really like this tinted moisturizer. I apply it with my Beauty Blender and when it sets, it gives my face a glowy sheen – it doesn’t clog my pores and it’s not too oily. I’m a glow, happy camper with this on my face!

I use this under my eyes and to cover up occasional redness on my cheeks. I like the formula of this particular concealer – it’s creamy, easy to blend and buildable. The most important thing for me when it comes to concealer, other than color matching to my skin, is for it to not look heavy on the skin. This one fits the bill.

I apply the rms buriti cream bronzer where I want on my face with my fingers and blend it out with my Beauty Blender. It gives my face a wonderful warmth – no more sallow olive skin!

I recently went into Sephora to request a quick brow makeup tutorial and walked away with this gem. I do like this but I think it’s a little bit too heavy for the summer. A brow mascara might work better for lighter makeup or really hot summer days.

I’ve been using the Tarte Gifted mascara for a few months now. Unfortunately, it’s not my favorite. I find that while it is volumizing, it isn’t lengthening enough. I definitely prefer the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara over this one.

Next week, I’ll talk about lip and cheek products which are easy to switch around for different looks. What are your go-to base products for summer?

    • I much prefer the Benefit Brow Mascara over the Sephora brow pencil for summer. ๐Ÿ™‚ hope you’re well too Lena.
