Winter is upon us here in Vancouver and though the weather is predictably milder and wetter than the East Coast, I’ve changed up my beauty routine to include more moisturization action. Today, I share 5 beauty products I’ve been loving with the colder weather.
I use this mask to sleep every night in place of regular moisturizer. It is oil-free and hydrates with hyaluronic acid and sea kelp. Over the past 6 weeks, I’ve noticed that my skin has been a little less dehydrated with continued use.
‘Lola’ is a sheer dusty rose which is perfect nude for my lips. The packaging is sleek and I feel fancy everytime I use this. This is my most used color right now and I keep it with me wherever I go. The formulation is perfect – not too slick but not drying either. I can swipe it on without a mirror and without having to worry that the color payoff is too much.
3. Jojoba oil
I switch from a regular body lotion to a body oil when the cold weather hits. A little goes a long way with oil (say no to being a greaseball). I slather this all over my body after the shower and let it dry for 3 -5 minutes before dressing. I get my jojoba oil from two places – Escents Aromatherapy and The Dispensary on Main Street.
I got this stuff last year and it’s been saving my lips whenever they start to feel dry or chapped. I put it on my lips every night before bed and wake up to soft lips. As you can tell from its current state, it is much loved.
5. SLAP (Satinlined caps from Grace Eleyae) Ever since I grew out my hair, I’ve been obsessed with hair health. Enter the SLAP. I love them so much that I now have two! This satinlined beanie is so versatile – I use to sleep to protect my hair from breakage and dryness. I also use it out when I feel like rocking a beanie. The best part is that the satin interior ensures that my forehead doesn’t get itchy when I wear this.
What are some of your favorite beauty products right now?
